The National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine hosted celebrations on the occasion of the military guards taking a military oath. Nearly 400 cadets started their studies at the Academy of the National Guard this year. Of these, more than 200 are already servicemen of the National Guard and have experience of serving in the army. Among freshmen, 48 participants of military operations, 23 pupils of military lyceums, 15 representatives of military dynasties and 12 candidates for master of sports.
In total, 150 young men and 27 girls swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people, who at the level passed all the stages of selection.
With words of greeting, the meeting was addressed by the Head of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Sergei Sokolovsky:.
"Today begins your new life. Each of you could choose any profession, but you took a step forward and chose the National Guard of Ukraine. Chosen at a difficult time for the country. The Academy has everything you need to ensure that you have received the real skills and skills of a professional officer and subsequently joined the units of the National Guard. Worthily carry your service and always remember the words of the oath that you made in the presence of your parents, comrades, officers. Good luck! ".
On behalf of the representatives of the regional state administration and the regional council, the staff of the Academy was congratulated by the Director of the Department for Defense, Mobilization and Cooperation with Law Enforcement Agencies of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Alexei Maksimov.
During their training the Guardsmen will master the military case of the officer of the National Guard of Ukraine in various specialties at four faculties: command post, logistics, humanitarian and Kiev.
"Today we solemnly accepted the military oath," said freshman Nazar Zubkov. "The National Academy has prepared a whole galaxy of highly professional, loyal to military duty officers. And I sincerely hope that we will become the same officers, we will adhere to the glorious traditions of our school.
"The staff of the Academy honored the memory of servicemen who died defending the peace, tranquility, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state by a minute of silence and laying flowers at the Heroes'. Pastoral blessing and consecration was conducted by the military priest of the National Academy Father Gregory.
After the solemn part of the military ritual, the command of the educational institution met with parents. During the meeting, the command of the Academy and immediate commanders of cadet units were presented.
