Suspects in the attempt on the former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia visited Geneva shortly before the poisoning. As reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph, the data on the flights indicate that Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov flew no less than six times to the Swiss city on the eve of the attempt on the Skripal.

The newspaper writes that from November 2017 to February this year, Russians booked nine separate round-trip tickets.

It is noted that the establishment of the one with whom they met in Switzerland will be a key element of the investigation.

It is also reported that the Russians visited Geneva during the negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Syria, held at the UN headquarters.

British Prime Minister Teresa Mei stressed that the suspects are officers of the General Staff of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, and the assassination itself was almost certainly approved by the highest political leadership of Russia.
