The festival of affordable tourism will be held in Kharkov

The educational and cultural festival "Inclusion" starts on September 12 and will last until the 19th. The festival is dedicated to inclusive tourism - the accessibility of museums, galleries and sightseeing routes for people with disabilities, families with children, the elderly and members of other vulnerable groups. In the program - presentation of audio guides for the Kharkov Art Museum, master classes in art criticism, children's creative workshop. Also they promise an "inclusive picnic" in the arboretum of the Kharkov Agricultural University named after Dokuchaev and a walking tour "From the Fortress to the Capital". "Inclusion is a culture of equal opportunities without discrimination on any grounds, and the festival is an inspection of the infrastructure for accessibility," the organizers explain.. A special guest of the festival is TV anchorman Dmitry Shchebetyuk, who moves around in a wheelchair and hitchhiking. Team "Inclusion" also invites to the Days of Tourism in Kharkov museums, from September 14 to 19.

Excursions and master classes for people with disabilities will be held in the historical and art museums, the museum of nature, the museum of outstanding Kharkov residents named after Shulzhenko and the Repin Art and Memorial Museum. Museum audioguides for blind and visually impaired visitors, which will be presented at the festival, - the project of the organizers of the "Inclusion", launched in 2017,. The system of audio recordings with information about the exhibits, available from smartphones, was planned to be developed for the art and literary museums.
