Salons that acted on the territory of Kharkov were visited by supporters of betting and games in the sweepstakes.

The illegal activity of the organizers of the business banned in Ukraine was exposed by the employees of the Department of Economic Protection in the Kharkov region of the DZE of the National Police of Ukraine together with the detectives of the Investigative Department of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Kharkov region. On September 5, they conducted three searches in the premises, where everyone could get involved in gambling. The searches were conducted in the framework of criminal proceedings opened in mid-June 2018 on the basis of a criminal offense provided for. 1 st. 203-2 (occupation by gambling business) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

During the searches, police seized 79 pieces of computer equipment, cash for almost 42 000 UAH. , 10 units of other equipment, 9 televisions, cash registers, devices for printing checks, communication means, rough records of the figurants of underground institutions.

The commission of this crime is punishable by a fine of ten thousand to forty thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.

Investigation continues. Measures are being taken to identify persons who organized a network of underground stores in Kharkov.
