Belarusians increasingly postpone the issue of creating a family for a later period, according to the data of the collection "Children and Youth" of the National Statistics Committee, quoted by the Belarusian partisan.
The average age at first marriage for Belarusian men was 27.9 years. Six years ago, men preferred to marry at 26.6. And urban men are slightly more determined than rural residents - they have a slightly lower age for marriage than for rural ones - 27.9 against 28.
The opposite trend is observed in girls. City young women get married a little later (25.9) than rural women (25.1). At the same time, the average age of family creation also increased - to 25.8. Six years ago, girls married at 24.5 years old.
Less is also divorce at a young age. Last year, 7874 men and 10,912 women under the age of 30 issued a divorce. Six years ago, the status of divorced received more than 11,000 men and more than 15,100 women under 30 years of age.
