Former goalkeeper of the national hockey team of Ukraine Eduard Zakharchenko, who was deprived of the right to speak for the "yellow-blue" because of an attempt to manipulate the results of the team, for a long time hid from the national federation of our country the presence of a Russian passport.
This became known after August 16, the Kazakhstan Hockey Federation (FHC) asked the Ukrainian side to provide information about the player for the possibility of transfer. During the conversation with the representatives of the FHC, it became known that Eduard had entered into a labor agreement with HC "Astana-Baiterek" until April 30, 2021, being a citizen of the Russian Federation. FHU prepared an official refusal due to disciplinary sanctions.
However, the International Hockey Federation (IIHF) confirmed the transfer to Eduard, not paying attention to the inconsistency of the documents confirming the player's belonging to Ukraine or to the Russian Federation.
FHU sent a formal appeal to IIHF for clarification of the situation. The Ukrainian Federation has already received a copy of Edward Zakharchenko's passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation (passport number 53 0186082 dated January 24, 2012). It should be noted that in the employment contract with HC "Astana-Baiterek" the data of the civil passport of the Russian hockey player (series 46-12 No. 871498 of August 17, 2012).
Now it becomes obvious why Eduard became involved in attempts to manipulate the results of matches of the national team of Ukraine. Being a citizen of an aggressor country, he was not interested in the victory of Ukraine.
It should be noted that Zakharchenko was born in Vladivostok on August 4, 1995. Moving to Ukraine, I began to practice hockey in the Kherson hockey school. March 6, 2012 received a passport of a citizen of Ukraine (MR 372601, issued by Suvorovsky RV KhMU UMVD of Ukraine in Kherson region on March 6, 2012).
He was repeatedly invited to the national team of Ukraine, even during the performance of HC "MVD" from Naberezhnye Chelny.
In 2015 he returned to play in Ukraine in HC "Kremenchug", which remained his last real place of work until the application of disciplinary sanctions to the player.
Recall hockey players Eduard Zakharchenko and Vladimir Varivoda were deprived of the right to participate in any competitions after it became known about their attempt to influence the result of the World Cup 2017 match between the national teams of Ukraine and South Korea.
