Ukrainian departments have already agreed the text of the draft agreement on mutual trips of citizens of Georgia and Ukraine on internal passports.
This was stated by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia Igor Dolgov at a press club meeting within the framework of the 13th meeting of ambassadors to the Foreign Ministry, Ukrinform reports..
"We have received confirmation that the text of the agreement on the travel of citizens is coordinated with the involved agencies of the Ukrainian side," the ambassador said..
Further, according to him, documents will be sent officially to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Dolgov also noted that after that the government of Ukraine will have to take a decision on signing an appropriate agreement and authorize a "certain person" to sign it.
At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian and Georgian sides are planning to prepare an agreement for signing during the UN General Assembly.
At the same time, the diplomat specified that if the agreement is signed, Ukrainians and Georgians will be able to travel by ID-cards.
