The Ecumenical Patriarchate postponed the regular meeting of his Synod for October. About this LB. ua tell their own sources in the church environment.

This meeting was to be held on September 10, and there was a high probability that the Ukrainian church issue would have been decided on it. Now his decisions need to wait at least until October (indicative new dates of the Synod - October 9-11).

At the same time, as planned earlier, in the first days of September, Synaxis will take place in Istanbul - a meeting of all the bishops of the Constantinople Orthodox Church, headed by Patriarch Bartholomew. Before that, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was scheduled to meet with the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill (August 31, at Phanar).

In expert church circles believe that on Synaxis - the meeting of the Constantinople bishops - most likely will discuss the issues of autocephaly of the Ukrainian and Macedonian churches.

However, decisions on these issues are the prerogative of not Synaxis, but the Synod.
