Yesterday in Bukovina near the border, law enforcement officers stopped a horse caravan, by which violators tried to transport cigarettes to Romania.
The detention occurred as a result of the processing of information obtained by the operational units of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service.
Deliberate offenders were detained by frontier guards of the department of border guards "Nizhny Petrovtsy" of the Chernivtsi detachment, officers of operational units of the border department in cooperation with representatives of the UAS in the Chernivtsi region.
The interdepartmental group identified a caravan of four horse drawn trails, next to the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
In addition, two people were detained on site, who moved 10 boxes of tobacco products in the amount of almost 5,000 packs.
Now the search continues for two more people who managed to escape from the crime scene.
