In disadvantaged areas of Denmark, where families with low incomes live, they will open special courses of proper nutrition for children and parents. There they will talk about balanced food and how it affects health, writes Europulse.

This program was created as part of the strategy to combat obesity in children, which the Danish government adopted this month. In addition, schools will take lessons on healthy nutrition, and the school canteens will be presented with new requirements.

Now in Denmark, almost 20% of children from 9 to 16 years old are overweight, and in poor families they are almost 50% more than in families with medium and high incomes.
