On 11 and 12 August in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca the European Judo Cup among juniors took place, where Kharkov wrestlers won silver and bronze medals.

"Silver" in the weight category up to 100 kg received Eugene Vegera. On the way to the final, he won a rival from Romania, as well as his compatriot Aslan Kurazov from Zaporizhzhya, but in a duel for "gold" lost to a fighter from Georgia Zauri Kenchadze.

The bronze medal was won by Vladislav Netsvit (weight category - up to 57 kg).

In a duel for third place Kharkiv won from a rival from Croatia.

Another Kharkov sportsman Vladislav Berezka stopped a step away from the medal in the weight category over 100 kg, losing in the third place fighter from Croatia.

In general, at this Cup Ukrainian judoists won 2 gold, 2 silver, 11 bronze medals and took the third place in the medal standings. The first was for the Georgians, and the second was taken by the hosts of the competition - the Romanians.
