Soviet journalist Mikhail Leshchinsky died at the 74th year of life. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the press service of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Ian Radzevich.

Leshchinsky worked in the State Television and Radio of the USSR, where he conducted the program "I Serve the Soviet Union", for four years he was a correspondent of the USSR Central Television in Afghanistan. In 1992-1994, he headed the military department of the RGTRK Ostankino, later conducted the weekly program "Polygon".
He also produced hundreds of reports on key political events, became the author of dozens of transmission cycles and created several documentaries.
