The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Sverdlovsk Region has developed a project for the environmental rehabilitation of seven reservoirs within the framework of the new national project "Ecology".
"At present, the passport of the regional project" Preservation of unique water bodies located on the territory of the Sverdlovsk Region "has been developed, according to which the ecological rehabilitation of seven reservoirs is planned: Chernoistochinsky, Seversky, Verkhne-Sysertsky, Verkhne-Makarovskiy, Verkh-Isetsky and Shartash Lake. Almost all of them are located within the boundaries of specially protected natural areas of regional importance. They are also sources of drinking water supply for settlements with a developed industry, "said Vyacheslav Tyumentsev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the region.
If the regional project is included in the national project, its implementation will begin in January 2019. The planned amount of funding from the federal and regional budgets until December 2024, according to preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Sverdlovsk region, will exceed 1.2 billion rubles.
Vyacheslav Tyumentsev noted that the pilot project will be the rehabilitation of the Chernoistochinsk reservoir. On the instructions of the governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev, a plan of measures for the rehabilitation of this reservoir. In 2018, more than 50 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for this work. In the current year, in particular, it is planned to complete works on the capital repair of hydraulic structures in the village of Chernoistochinsk.
"Environmental rehabilitation of the Chernoistochinsky pond is under special control of the government. In the fourth quarter in the Gornouralsk urban district, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission will be held, created specifically to address this issue on behalf of the head of the region, "added Vyacheslav Tyumentsev.
The national project "Ecology" also assumes by the end of 2024 the elimination of unauthorized landfills within the boundaries of cities, a drastic reduction in the level of atmospheric air pollution in large industrial centers, the conservation of biological diversity. In these areas, relevant regional projects have also been developed.
Let us note that the national project "Ecology" is being developed in accordance with the new "May" decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, according to which by the end of 2024 it is necessary to improve the quality of drinking water and environmental sanitation of water bodies.
