On July 24, the miners of the Darasunsky mine in the Trans-Baikal Territory started a strike and hunger strike. The action of 33 miners began, they were joined by another 59 employees of the enterprise. The reason for the action is a delay in payment of wages from May.

On July 26, nine participants of the action had to be sent to the hospital - pressure problems, in some cases significantly lowered, others increased on the contrary. Miners occupy the second floor of the administrative building of the enterprise. Drinking water miners are provided. The paramedic of the village hospital Vershino-Darsunkiy daily checks the status of those taking part in the hunger strike twice. The workers' hunger strike was supported by the head of the village Vershino-Darasunsky, Alexander Okladnikov.

Interestingly, the miners of the mine were already striking last summer. Then, too, there were salary delays and a decrease in its size. The debt to miners was 38 million. rubles. The question of wages was placed on the constant control of the prosecutor's office. However, the control was very formal. Now the inspection is being carried out by the Investigation Department of Transbaikalia. Investigators have already left for the village where the enterprise "Uryumkan" is located. The heads of the enterprise will be interviewed. In addition, accounting documentation will be removed and, if necessary, an accounting examination. Based on the results of the inspection, the investigators will adopt a procedural decision.

General Director of LLC "Uryumkan" owner of Darasunsky mine Vitaly Koidan declined to comment on the hunger strike of miners.

Disruptions with the issuance of wages at the mine began from the beginning of the year.

The wife of one of the miners says that the last time her husband was given in May 1,3 thousand rubles in May. So the miners' families began to starve much earlier.

It is known that the enterprise's debt to miners amounted to 32 million rubles. Only July 26 in the evening began to give the May salary, so it was decided to suspend the hunger strike. The money was not received by all. And if the enterprise does not repay the debt to the miners till the morning of July 30, the hunger strike will resume. And the strike continues.
