The State Duma passed a bill in the first reading, according to which citizens will be given one day off from work to undergo a medical examination. The paid holiday will be allowed every three years.
The document states that the employee is released for one working day on a preliminary written application. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stressed that when adopting the bill, the deputies implement President Putin's instruction on the necessary measures to reduce the mortality of the able-bodied population.
Authors of the bill do not exclude that to its second reading there will be an amendment providing for not one but two additional days off.
