Very briefly: they went to the cave for a long excursion, it began to rain, the exit from the cave flooded, people were four kilometers from the entrance, writes the correspondent of the HB Ivan Yakovina.

They waited there for nine days, then they were found by divers. An incredibly complex operation began, during which everyone was rescued. But in the process one diver, unfortunately, was killed.

Speech today is not so much about what happened, but about how the whole story was perceived in the world. It would seem: every day hundreds of people perish under different circumstances in different countries, but, to be honest, few people before this are involved. But this story attracted global attention. Why?.

Well, first of all, children. Everything is clear: they are always sympathized with more than adults. Secondly, terrible conditions: imagine the emotions of a person locked in such terrible circumstances. Full, grave darkness, cold. No connection, no food, no drinking water. Inflow of fresh air is not present. The oxygen ends. And so - nine days!.

And the children and their coach lost time quickly and did not know how long they were under the ground. But they knew for sure that if they were not found, then a long and painful death is inevitable, since these caves will be flooded with water for several more months - that's how much the rainy season lasts in Thailand.

Any person who imagined himself there, just his hair began to move with fear. People who get caught in such a binder, of course, want to somehow help. For example, local residents carried food, water and various useful trifles to doctors and policemen who broke camp at the entrance to the cave. One of the laundries took over the work of free washing clothes rescuers.

The whole world came to the rescue: professional cave divers and other specialists from different countries - the USA and Great Britain, Russia and Ukraine, arrived in Thailand and dozens of others.

Companies engaged in the production of underwater and mine rescue equipment offered their help free of charge.

Some immediately rushed to make children's versions of their equipment. So they do not exist, because climbing over flooded caves is even extremely dangerous for adults. Children can not even get close to such caves.

Inventor, businessman and billionaire Ilon Mask invited rescuers to use the mini-submarine of their own invention. It was urgently made of elements of the fuel system rocket Falcon 9 and even managed to test in the pool.

The submarine was taken to Thailand and was seriously considered as one of the options for saving people. As I understand it, it did not fit, because the cave in some places was already - there even a man struggled to squeeze.

But participation in this story The mask did not go unnoticed. The whole world with a sinking heart began to monitor the rescue operation. And almost the whole world was grieved when one of the divers Samarn Kunan. This man immediately became a national hero, and the funeral was organized by the royal court. According to local concepts, it's just a crazy honor!.

Fortunately, this death was the only one in the whole history, no one died any more. But all the children and their coach from the cave were dragged out. And only then did different details become known.

For example, now they say that the coach, in order to prevent panic or conflicts among the wards, taught them to meditate right in the cave. Thus, he retained the moral stability of the group, and saved food, air and water for children: they did not waste precious resources in vain.

One more detail: the pumps that pumped water out of the caves broke down right after saving the first child. Because of this, all the others needed to be rescued as quickly as possible, since the cave could soon be completely flooded. It was a real battle with time.

Well, and so on: the further, the more we become aware of completely cinematic details. Together, they have riveted the attention of the whole world to the operation to save schoolchildren in distant Thailand. I have almost no doubt that, based on this story in Hollywood, a chilling blockbuster movie called "The Cave" will be shot, for example.

Thai schoolchildren will be replaced by American students. Well, that there were not only boys, but girls too. And children should be of different races, so that there are no accusations of sexism and racism. Coaches, I think, will leave the Asian - in Hollywood there is a perfectly working cliche about the "wise oriental mentor". Here it will be just right.

Participation in the Ilona operation The mask and its submarines, meditating schoolchildren, close underground passages, the alarm of the world's leading leaders, the heroically lost rescuer and the royal funeral for him, even the suddenly disconnected pumps - is a ready-made script for the movie. The question now is only one thing - which studio will buy from the schoolchildren and the coach the right to screen their stories.

And you know, probably, it's quite good when absolutely terrible situations end with such a deafening, crushing happy end. It would be nice if we had more such cases.
