One of the topics discussed within the business program of the exhibition INNOPROM-2018, which this year is devoted to digital production, was the introduction in municipalities of modern solutions for urban management - the concept of "smart cities". Most often this phrase sounds in the context of megacities and energy-saving technologies, but the RMC presented the participants of the exhibition with another approach to saving resources.
"Among the many resources that a person has and enjoys, the most critical is the time. In the conditions of modern urban life, many are acutely experiencing a deficit, "says Anna Shabarova, Vice-President of the Republican Committee for Personnel Policy and Social Responsibility.
The idea of ??saving time is embedded in the concept of strategic development of the Karabashsky urban district (Chelyabinsk region), which RMK implements jointly with the administration of the district and the government of the Chelyabinsk region. The strategy is designed to create the most convenient logistics for residents of the city where the copper smelting plant of the RMK Karabashmed operates, to minimize the time spent by residents on daily needs to make purchases, play sports, spend leisure time, give children additional development and education.
"Until recently, young athletes had to travel from one end of the city to another for training, and for many categories of the population there were no opportunities for sports, now in Karabash there is a modern multifunctional sports complex" Metallurg "where children are also trained free of charge, and adults, and elderly people, "- explained Anna Shabarova.
The next stage of optimization of logistics for the sake of saving time in Karabash will be the construction of a modern shopping and entertainment center. As a result, local residents will not have to go shopping and cultural leisure in neighboring cities. The anchor tenants of the center will be a cinema and a supermarket. Also in the shopping and entertainment center will be children's playrooms and spaces for events. The object is to be commissioned in 2019.
"This object is a part of the social policy of the RMC, aimed at creating the same level of comfort for the inhabitants of small towns, as in megacities. But the residents of Karabash in this respect will have an advantage - in the renovated city the entire infrastructure will be almost within walking distance, which will save time for something more valuable than trips by car or public transport, "concluded Anna Shabarova.
The agreement on the strategic development of the Karabash urban district was signed in 2017. The purpose of the document is to create a comfortable urban environment and to improve the quality of life in Karabash. The concept of strategic development of Karabash was calculated until 2021, the volume of investments on terms of co-financing from the company and the regional budget will exceed 3 billion rubles.
