Within the framework of the NATO Medical Trust's rehabilitation fund, a group of 8 injured participants of the ATU is sent to Bulgaria for a two-week rehabilitation on July 9. This initiative is implemented on the basis of an agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine within the framework of the project of the NATO Trust Fund for Medical Rehabilitation in Ukraine, which was signed in October 2017. The initiative was also realized thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the Bulgarian side and the Ukrainian ministries and agencies involved in the project implementation, the NATO Support and Supply Agency.
The first group of Ukrainian military will be accompanied by the project manager of the NATO Trust Medical Rehabilitation Foundation in Ukraine, Vadim Sviridenko. The President's Commissioner will also learn about Bulgaria's experience in carrying out activities for the medical rehabilitation of injured. Bulgaria is the leading country within the framework of the NATO Trust Fund in the field of medical rehabilitation in Ukraine and plans to host about 300 injured participants of the ATU for rehabilitation for two years. Monthly a new group will be sent to the military-medical hospital "Caleroja" g. Hissar.
