The Ministry of Health of Ukraine promulgated Order No. 1216 of June 26, 2018 on the immunization of adults from measles, who, due to their professional activities, are at risk. This decision was adopted as an event to respond to an outbreak. The group of persons subject to compulsory vaccination for epidemic indications included: students (persons over 18 years of age), health workers, employees of educational institutions and non-medical workers of health facilities. Also, employees of law enforcement agencies - the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police and the National Guard, the State Border Service and the State Security Service. It is noted that for the immunization activities will be used the remains of vaccines purchased from the budget in previous years. At the same time, vaccination can not be compulsory and anyone who falls under the order of the Ministry of Health has the full and legal right to refuse immunization against measles. This is due to the fact that the Law of Ukraine on infectious diseases provides for vaccination only with the consent of an adult and only after the health workers respond to all questions related to the negative impact of vaccinations on the human body.
In addition, the Law of Ukraine "On the fundamentals of health" categorically prohibits medical workers from conducting diagnostics, treatment, testing, research, vaccination, and so on.. without the consent of the patient, except in cases of emergency medical care. In addition, the refusal to vaccinate is legitimate and based on international norms ratified by Ukraine. To refuse from vaccination, it is enough to write the application correctly and hand it over to the local doctor. Recall that the ban on visiting kindergartens, schools, technical schools and universities unvaccinated students and students is illegal.
