Residents of Croatia are less likely than other Europeans to contact the police with allegations of vandalism, violence or robbery in their area. According to the European statistical agency Eurostat, only 3% of the inhabitants of Croatia complained to the police on street crime. Next come Lithuania (3.4%) and Poland (5.6%).

And most of all such cases in Bulgaria - there are 25% of citizens are forced to contact the police because of the unsettled situation in the streets. The Netherlands and the Great Britain, which divided the second place by a large margin, are where 17% of citizens apply to the police for this matter. At the EU level, the number of complaints to the police due to street crime has been gradually declining since 2013 - then 14% of Europeans came to the police in this regard, and in the year of 2016 - 13%.
