In foreign universities, the number of Ukrainian students is constantly increasing. During 2009-2016, their number increased almost three times to 70 thousand. person, said First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubov. This is reported by Radio NV.

Most often, higher education Ukrainians go to Poland, said the director of the analytical center CEDOS Egor Stadny. There, domestic students mainly choose private universities and study on economic and social science specialties.

On the second place in the European Union among the preferences of Ukrainians - Germany. However, the number of our students there has practically not increased since the beginning of the 2000s - about 8,000-9,000 students study there annually. Ukrainians.

Also our students choose the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Austria, Great Britain. However, in these countries no more than one and a half thousand Ukrainians study in each of the countries. Over the past few years, compatriots began to travel more often to Slovakia. Such a departure of students abroad should be taken as a natural phenomenon,.

Ukrainian student Ksenia Pyaskivska is a two-year master's program in journalism at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland. According to her, she chose this country because of her Polish roots, as well as her desire to gain experience of living abroad, international acquaintances and communication.

Xenia already has the first philological education she received in Ukraine. She says that among the advantages of studying in Poland is the confidentiality of learning outcomes, respect for students by teachers and the lack of evaluation in practical classes.

She noted that she will use every opportunity and prospect of development by profession in a foreign company, but does not exclude: if there is an offer in Ukraine, then the girl can and agree.

There are also disadvantages of studying at the Polish university, for example, the daily schedule and the awkward mode of taking the session. For example, training couples are scattered throughout the day, this does not allow you to build a personal regime and find a normal job.

Other countries have made favorable conditions for obtaining higher education for foreigners, and also provide a diploma recognized almost all over the world.

It is these reasons that push young Ukrainians to study abroad, said Alexei Poznyak, head of the sector of migration studies of the Institute of Demography and Social Research. Some of them plan to gain a foothold there, stay to live and work. According to Poznyak, the outflow of Ukrainian students in the near future will only increase.

According to the results of a study conducted by the Institute of Public Relations, conducted among Ukrainian students in Poland, every third Ukrainian after graduation wants to go to the West. Returning to Ukraine ponders only 7% of respondents.
