2018 - anniversary for the police of Russia. It was on this day, June 5, in 1718, that Peter I established a new post in St. Petersburg, the police chief, in charge of which was the chancery and the lower police personnel (the elders, the guard and the Titian). In his decree, he formulated the work program for the new police and pointed out its important role in the existence of the state.

On the occasion of this celebration, the Cultural Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region organized and conducted a series of memorable events, including field concerts in the district departments.

As the press secretary of the police chief Valery Gorelykh noted, on the eve of the holiday the police officers visited the unique and one of the best museums in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the regional power department, took part in a sports tournament in volleyball and chess, as well as in a moleben in the Orthodox church where about 300 order guards and members of their families remembered and honored the memory of their colleagues who died in unequal battles with criminals, defending the interests of citizens and the state as a whole.

And right now in the hall of the collegiums of the regional headquarter the official ceremony of awarding departmental awards to the most distinguished in service, as well as dynasties. In the foyer in front of the gathering place, the garrison veteran Colonel Sergei Zverev demonstrated a colorful exhibition in honor of the significant date. On it you could see how guards looked during the tsarist regime and in the post-Soviet period, get acquainted with the history of the development of the system of internal affairs.

The mood brought together the living music of a talented trio in epaulets who performed a new song in honor of the jubilee of the department.
