With the onset of heat in Ukraine, kvass from barrels is in great demand. Such kvass is stored in conditions of unthinkable unsanitary conditions, and inside the barrels worms are often found.
This was told on the air of ObozTV executive director of the Consumer Union of Ukraine Maxim Nesmiyanov.
According to Nesmiyanov, kvass in such barrels can be stored for 5-7 days at temperatures from 0 to 12 degrees. However, sellers do not adhere to these conditions.
"I approach the seller and I say that direct sunlight hits the barrel, although it says that it is impossible. The barrel is dirty, what's going on inside? Three days kvass, you do not observe the temperature regime! To which he responds - on the third day kvass is even better sold, it begins to wander ... Then it's a completely different buyer for this kvass, "he said..
According to the expert, there is a "total unsanitary".
"One of the entrepreneurs wanted to put up a barrel of kvass, came to the production and saw that they did not wash the barrels inside! Therefore, worms are built there. There are a lot of videos on the Internet, when a barrel of kvass is opened, and there are worms on the bottom. Because no one is processing. These big manufacturers do such things, "he said..
Nesmiyanov gave advice to consumers:
"The barrel is unscrewed, you can open it and at least smell, see if the worms are swimming there. If you smelled a bug, then I do not recommend drinking - unless you want to hang out. On the barrel there is a label on the top, where the manufacturer and date of manufacture. One of the manufacturers is so impudent that it does not specify a production date. If there is no date - forget about kvass and go away ».
But the simplest solution, as noted by the expert, is "do not buy anything".
