The Russians finally realized that Russia had become an outcast country

The number of Russians who consider that their country is in international isolation has reached the highest indicators so far - 56%. These are the results of a survey of the Russian sociological institute Levada Center, the results of which were unveiled on Monday, May 14, Deutsche Welle.

The number of those who are worried about this situation has increased by 12% in the past year, although such people are still noticeably less than those who remain calm: 37% against 56%.

By 12% (from 66 to 54%), the number of respondents who believe that Russia should strengthen ties with the west.

At the same time, the number of negative assessments of the west as a whole is growing and the number of positive ones is decreasing, although the majority of respondents - 40% - believe that Western countries in Russia are without special feelings.

To Russia, in the West, in the opinion of Russians, they are mainly concerned with fear (25%), anxiety (21%) and contempt (16%),.



The Levada Center director Lev Gudkov notes that after the introduction of new sanctions, a "new wave" has risen, and Russians are increasingly feeling Western criticism, which they are presented as Russophobia.

According to the sociologist, the majority of respondents understand that Russia is becoming an outcast, and growing indifference to Western countries is an attempt to distance itself from negative feelings and pretend that Russians do not concern this.
