Vitaly Portnikov: Obsessed with Retention

Former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych in one of his speeches in December 2013 told that during a million rally on the Kiev Maydan on December 1 he listened in the car to the song of the band "Chaif" "Do not rush us to bury". Listened - and, judging by his then-mood, was inspired. For Yanukovych it was obvious that he would "sit out" Maidan that the protesters would sooner or later disperse, as they will be convinced that they have no real levers of pressure on the president and the parliament of the country other than songs and dances in squares that he will necessarily deceive or intimidate them.

It all ended, as you know, in Rostov. But it seems that Yanukovych did not even realize today that his every self-confident aggressive action led not to fading, but to igniting the protest movement - I do not even speak about the murders of people. Yanukovych - whether by his own stupidity, according to Moscow's pointer - constantly poured gasoline into the fire. He poured and rejoiced.

I remembered the musical tastes of the former president of Ukraine when I watched the extraordinary session of the Armenian parliament, where it was planned to elect a new prime minister of the country. But the election, as is known, did not take place. Moreover, representatives of the Republican Party, this Armenian "United Russia", openly mocked the leader of the protest movement, Nikol Pashinyan, accused him of incompetence and argued that such a person can not be a prime minister and the supreme commander-in-chief. Proved in order to literally the next day announced their readiness for the next session, on May 8, to support a candidate who will nominate one-third of the deputies of parliament. Simply put, the same Pashinyan.

Why they could not do this at once, without provoking a nationwide blockade of infrastructure, the actual collapse of the government, the flight of respected citizens from the ranks of Republicans? Yes, because they listened to the song "Do not rush us to bury us," and the people gathered in the squares at the time. Because in the parliament, for absolutely mysterious reasons, they felt themselves masters of the situation, which will now give the unwashed "cattle" a lesson of power and democracy and pricked it into the crap of the favorite of this mad "cattle". To know his place and that "cattle" knew and broke up. But it did not break up - what a misfortune! People are only more - because they really are sick of this self-assured brotherhood, which has lost all connection with reality. Just about the same as Ukrainians nauseated by Yanukovych and his gang.

And then again the question: did they decide to pour gasoline into the fire or did they not have any way out, because they demanded it in Moscow? And they had to at least imitate the execution of the insane order, then to have the opportunity to say - see, we try, things that you advise, but they only become more.

Judging by the fact that a number of high-ranking Armenian dignitaries visited these days in Moscow, and a delegation of overseers from the State Duma came to Yerevan, I will venture to say: they are not themselves. Like Yanukovych did not act himself. It's all Putin. Putin, who until his last minute - whether in power or in life - will live in eternal fear that he, too, will be asked this way by the million people who gathered in Moscow squares. In the same way, the State Duma will vote for the appointment of some opposition leader by the prime minister before the dissolution, and next to those in Kamergersk, those cultural figures who yesterday faithfully looked into his colorless eyes will burn Party membership cards "United Russia ". Burn - and rejoice.

I'm not saying that tomorrow will be. I affirm that this is how it is today. There is in his head, the head, in which there is always only one melody - "Do not rush us to bury". Do not rush! Give me more to join!

Let him live as he did in his St. Petersburg gateways and did not dream!.

And this obsessive music, sounding in my head with a tuning fork, long ago replaced him with calculation, common sense and even a sense of self-preservation. He lives in this song - and that's why he can give his only one piece of advice: not to give up, not to pay attention, to try to sit out, deceive, outwit, intimidate, and if not - kill.

In a word, pour gasoline into the fire. Only this he can now.
