Thanks to the launched state reimbursement program "Available medicines" and the creation of a network of cardiac centers in the regions of Ukraine, a 20% reduction in the death rate of the population from cardiovascular diseases, in particular infarctions, was reported, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.

"Today we have a result. For the first time in recent decades, the death rate from heart attacks has decreased by 20%. Saved 420 lives, "- he wrote in his page in the social network" Facebook "on Thursday.

The prime minister expressed his conviction that, for the sake of these rescued people, it was worth starting and continuing changes in the health care system.

The program of reimbursement of the cost of drugs for cardiovascular diseases, bronchial asthma and type II diabetes was launched in Ukraine on April 1, 2017. From the state budget for 2018 allocated 1 billion USD for the reimbursement program.

As of February 20, 2018, the Ministry of Health informed: the register of medicines, the value of which is subject to reimbursement, contains 239 preparations of 48 manufacturers, 18 of them - domestic. To buy such medicines it was possible in 6,240 thousand. pharmacies across the country.
