The Pervouralsky city court pronounced a verdict on the former policeman Konstantin Loginov. He was found guilty under Article 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking a bribe in a considerable amount, committed with extortion of a bribe).

In 2017, the operative-authorized Russian OMVD for Pervouralsk Konstantin Loginov was instructed by the director of one of the enterprises about the fraud of another legal entity. However, instead of investigating, the policeman began to extort a bribe from a businessman by showing him a sheet with the inscription "10% of the amount". When the businessman nodded approvingly, the policeman made another entry: "5% is needed in cash right now as a pre-payment". Otherwise Loginov promised to redraw the case. The next day the applicant's representative brought 5% of the amount of the damage (the total damage amounted to 844 thousand rubles). After the transfer of the bribe, he appealed to the security service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region with a request for extortion of a bribe from him in the amount of 42 thousand rubles, after which, under the supervision of law enforcers, he transferred money to Loginov.

The defendant pleaded not guilty and stated that the representative of the company offered him money in debt, the press service of the oblast prosecutor's office.

The Pervouralsk City Court gave Konstantin Loginov 7 years in a strict-regime penal colony with a fine of 400 thousand rubles, as well as with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state and law enforcement bodies and state corporations for 3 years.

"The traitor of the interests of the service is dismissed from the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for negative reasons, and his immediate supervisor is brought to disciplinary responsibility in accordance with the established and strictly observed order in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The fight against unscrupulous order-keepers who are in our ranks does not cease for a single day and is on the personal control of the Glavka leadership, "said Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sverdlovsk Region.
