In Russia, the average population has already passed euphoria about the annexation of the Crimea.

This opinion was expressed in his blog on the "Observer" Doctor of Historical Sciences Andrei Zubov.

"God forbid that Putin died. I would much more like him to realize what nastiness and stupidity he did during his lifetime, and changed his life, "wrote the historian.

According to him, the political situation in Russia is now unstable.

"The people who were absolutely drugged by Putin because of the Crimea - all this is behind. It was Crimea that turned out to be a very powerful drug for most Russians. This vile feeling that we are regaining our greatness is irrelevant. Crimea already does not care about anyone. To live there it became worse, than at Ukrainians. Almost everyone in Russia admitted this. And in this sense, the drug is no more, "the expert explained. According to him," Putin's regime "relies only on greatness, brute force and conviction that there is nobody besides Putin.

"But this is not true. In a country in which 140 million people, of course, there are other people. Many of us are known. The same Navalny, Kasyanov or the same Pavel Durov showed himself as a real Russian citizen. And there are many such people. On the other hand, there is still a brute force.

But it's good, as long as the power in Putin's hands. When the authorities begin to lose, brute force, as the example of Ukraine has shown, begins to disperse. They will not protect the same Putin at the cost of their lives. Each of them has a life, and it is more valuable than Putin's life, "explains the doctor of sciences.

According to Zubov, to predict the manifestation of mass discontent in Russia is very difficult, because it always provokes a certain case.
