The relevant appeal to the Ministry of Health and the Committee on Budget Issues of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was adopted today, April 18, at the session of the Kharkiv City Council.
As noted in the appeal of deputies, the total need for 2018 to provide citizens suffering from rare (orphan) diseases, drugs and related products for special dietary consumption in the city of Kharkov is 73.2 million UAH: 8.2 million UAH - for treatment phenylketonuria, 19.9 million UAH - hemophilia, 4.5 million UAH - acromegaly, 14.1 million UAH - mucopolysaccharidosis type II, 7.9 million uah - rheumatoid arthritis. To provide adults with such diseases, the annual need is 36 million UAH, for children - 37 million UAH.
The appeal notes that, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the uninterrupted and free provision of citizens suffering from orphan diseases, drugs and food products purchased from the state and local budgets is carried out within budgetary assignments.
Given the financial capacity of the city budget in Kharkov in 2018 to provide residents of the city, suffering from orphan diseases, medicines and products of special dietary consumption was allocated 11.4 million UAH, which is 15.5% of the total needs.
"Taking into account the above, the Kharkov City Council requests to consider the possibility of allocating additional funds within the framework of the medical subvention envisaged by the Law of Ukraine" On the State Budget for 2018 ", to provide residents of the city with rare (orphan) diseases, medicines and related products for special dietary consumption in full ", - said in circulation.
