On Tuesday, April 17, in the Kiev District Court of Kharkiv, a regular meeting was held in the case of a fatal accident in Sumy. This is reported from the place of events correspondent of NewsRoom.

Today, as a witness, one person was questioned: inspector of the patrol service Denis Myagkogolov. According to the law enforcer, when he arrived at the scene of the accident, his colleague brought to him Zaitsev and said that she was a participant in an accident. At that time, the girl was in a state of shock. When the investigative-operative group arrived in the place, the patrolman handed her the documents of the accused. The witness also said that Zaitseva did not show any signs of intoxication. At the same time, Myagkogolov could not say to what light Zaitseva was traveling.

"Zaytseva said that she was starting to go to the [blinking] green traffic light signal," said the patrolman, but soon he clarified his words. - Zaitseva herself said that she was going to the yellow one, she saw the car of Dronov. She gave him a sound signal, but due to the high speed the driver did not brake ".

Later, one of the victims' lawyers petitioned for the summons to the court of a narcologist and laboratory assistant who evaluated the condition of Zaitseva, the company commander of patrol service Yevgeny Voloshin, and also about studying the documents of the regional narcological center, but the court left the claims without satisfaction. The next meeting will take place in a week - April 24.

Recall, a tragic road accident in Sumy occurred almost six months ago - October 18 last year. As a result of the collision between the Volkswagen Touareg and the Lexus RX 350, six people were killed and another as many injured. Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("violation of traffic rules"). At the moment, both suspects - Alena Zaitseva and Gennady Dronov - are in custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
