At the start of the career, graduates of the bachelor's program of the Ural Federal University in the areas of "Computer security", "Social and cultural activities" and "Ground transportation and technological complexes" receive 75, 80 and 91.6 thousand rubles respectively. These are the preliminary results of the study of the UrFU and the Higher School of Economics, which will be presented at the "Spring Career" at Yeltsin Center on April 18.
Researchers assessed the employment of graduates, educational trajectories after graduation, interest in obtaining additional education and communication with the university after graduation.
"Employment of students is one of the main indicators of the success of any university," Viktor U.F. Rector Victor Koksharov said.. - But it's not just the formal indicators. We are interested in starting the career of graduates: what positions they occupy, and with what salaries begin ".
A comparative study was conducted at the university by a research laboratory on university development issues with the methodological support of the HSE labor market research laboratory to assess the impact of graduate educational trajectories on their outcomes in the labor market.
The results of the research showed how the graduates of UrFU were employed and what their starting salaries were, and also helped to identify the most popular groups of professional specialties:
machine building and metalworking, electrical and heat power engineering, construction, electronic engineering, radio engineering and communications, automation and management, computer science and computing technology, economics and management.
To find out more about this research and the topic of employment in general, you can ask universities and employers about the issues of interest on April 18 from 16 to 21 hours. The program of the event is available here.
