The first crematorium in the Crimea will be built in Simferopol district in the summer of 2018. As RIA "New Day" reports, representatives of the occupation authorities of the peninsula assert that the implementation of the project will not harm the environment.
The edition reminds that at first the crematorium was planned to be built in Yalta. However, the local residents strongly objected to the implementation of this project, ignoring the arguments that in Yalta the most acute problem in the Crimea with new places for burial. In connection with this, the crematorium was decided to build near the village of Krasnaya Zorka, having allocated a plot of 30 acres for the village cemetery.
"From the point of view of safety and all sanitary and epidemiological norms, the crematorium itself is located outside the boundaries of a rural settlement, at a distance of more than 500 meters from residential development, in the cemetery. It is separated from the settlement by natural barriers in the form of an artificial water body, the route Simferopol - Dzhankoy, green plantations. Therefore, it is an obvious exaggeration to say that this represents some kind of environmental threat, "Igor Chichkin, the head of the administration of the Guards Village Settlement, who quoted RIA Novosti Crimea, denied media reports that the crematorium was allegedly being built near the Muslim cemetery.
According to Chichkin, who referred to the investor's promises, the crematorium in the Crimea will be "the most modern in Russia". The implementation of the project will require 40 million rubles of investment, 10 of which are planned to spend on the purchase of filtration equipment to minimize emissions of harmful substances.
