About the project "Energy of light" was told during the briefing on March 28 by the head of the Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the HOGA Andrey Paramonov. According to him, the events were calculated until 2021. The project will be implemented within the framework of the Program of social and economic development of the region. During this time, they plan to solve all the issues related to outdoor lighting, in all 1,761 settlements of the Kharkiv region.

"Head of the region Yulia Svetlichnaya set the task - that until 2021 quality and modern lighting was in all villages and towns. This, first of all, guarantees comfort and security for the residents of the region. In addition, thanks to the implementation of the Energy of Light project, we will be able to save budget funds, and we will also solve environmental problems associated with carbon dioxide emissions that are provided by obsolete incandescent lamps, "said Andrei Paramonov.

To implement the project, we will use domestic lighting products - durable, easy to install, enabling the use of different types of lamps.

"We will mainly use LED lamps. The warranty period of their operation is 7 years, in use they are cheaper than conventional lamps by almost 6 times. The savings on one lamp is 1755 UAH per year, "the head of the Fuel and Energy Agency.

The first phase of the project, designed for 2018, provides for the arrangement of outdoor lighting on 300 streets in 137 settlements, which are home to a total of more than 200 thousand. human. This is 13-14% of the total work planned for 4 years.

Funds for the implementation of the first phase of the project "Energy of Light" on the initiative of Yulia Svetlichna have already been allocated from the regional budget.

According to Andrei Paramonov, at the moment the design work is being carried out, the installation of lighting devices is planned to start as soon as weather permits.

"First of all, we will work where there is no street lighting today. One of such objects is the village of Shelestovo in the Kolomaki District: there is no lighting at all in the place where the school and multi-storey houses are located, there it is necessary to conduct all the works "from scratch", said the head of the Fuel and Energy Agency.

According to him, when drawing up a list of streets, where the coverage will be carried out in the first place, they take into account citizens' appeals.

Among the objects that are going to be handed over in the near future is Kolomak settlement: 10 light points should be installed here, and the settlement will be 100% provided with street lighting.
