A new international crew has arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) in the following composition: Roskosmos cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev, NASA astronauts Richard Arnold and Andrew Foistel.
The Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with the Soyuz-08 TPK was launched from the Gagarin launch on Wednesday. The flight, rendezvous and docking of the Soyuz-08 TPK with the ISS took place automatically under the control of the PMU and the Russian cosmonauts of the transport and ISS.
At the station arrived were met cosmonaut Roskosmos Anton Shkaplerov, NASA astronaut Scott Tingle and astronaut JAXA Norishige Kanai.
Cosmonaut Oleg Artemiev has already worked for the ISS in 2014. During a long-term mission, he made two spacewalks with a total duration of almost 13 hours.
Richard Arnold worked in orbit in March 2009 for about 13 days on the Discovery spacecraft and made two spacewalks with a total duration of about 12 hours.
