You can, of course, relate to the statements of Nadezhda Savchenko as manifestations of an inflamed egocentric consciousness. It can be considered that these are signs of a mental disorder or not of the greatest mind. But the most important thing is that Nadezhda Savchenko does not even conceal her intentions, even if she tries to give them a certain "playful" character today, writes journalist Vitaly Portnikov on EspresotTV.
And that is why a state that respects itself must provide it. not punishment, no - punishment is appointed by the court - and an honest investigation. This honest investigation is the defense of the Ukrainian state, Ukrainian parliamentarism and, ultimately, the citizen of Ukraine Nadezhda Savchenko.
Because only a strong state can protect the interests of any of its citizens - including those who are guilty of crimes and must bear the punishment for them. A weak state can not protect anyone, not even criminals - the history of correctional institutions in the occupied territories is perfectly demonstrated.
And one more very important circumstance that characterizes the current situation. The state - if it wants to survive, of course - should not become neither the booty of foreign occupants, even very clever ones, nor the prey of idiots, even very patriotic ones. It will perish in either case.
The task of any state is to protect citizens from enemies and madmen. When Savchenko tells his colleagues that the undermining of parliament is the dream of every Ukrainian, she does not speak on behalf of the whole people, but on behalf of that part of it that simply can not think about the consequences of their desires, their hatred of power, their unpreparedness for a civilized political struggle.
This is the lumpen in his most disgusting manifestation. And I do not say that such a lumpen can not get power. Got the same in Russia in 1917 or in Germany in 1933? Why can not we repeat it?.
The only difference is that when the lumpen comes to power in large countries, in empires, he destroys the normal life of his fellow citizens, then - of the surrounding world and then dies. And the victory of the lumpen in such a weak country as Ukraine is a verdict only to us and our country. I really hope that Ukrainians do not differ in suicidal tendencies. I do not want to live among suicides.
But among schizophrenics I already live. To me, a man who has consistently opposed the abolition of parliamentary immunity, it's funny to watch how people who have always been supporters of such a measure are now outraged over the possibility of rescinding Savchenko's immunity.
It's funny to me how deputies who for years promise citizens to abolish this immunity are now sharing their thoughts with voters - whether to vote them or not? Yes, if you all fulfilled your promises - those for which you, in fact, are elected - there would have been no immunity for 10 years and Savchenko had been in the prison cell for several weeks already!.
This, of course, is not schizophrenia any. This is an ordinary Ukrainian cynicism that permeates all the pores of our existence.
Cynicism, which allows you to be elected on populist slogans, not to fulfill insane promises - and re-elected again.
Cynicism, which allows you to give out personal interests for patriotism.
Cynicism that allows you to turn into a profitable business for what in the normal world people risk their lives - fighting corruption, honest journalism, even war.
This cynicism of society also gives rise to the populism of power.
Ukrainians adore the proverb about the fish that rot from the head. But this is the wrong translation of the famous aphorism. Fish stink from the head. Stinks from the head because it rotates from within.
