In the center of Kiev was the Ukrainian stage of the international action in support of the National Guard fighter Vitaly Markiv, arrested in Italy on charges of the death of a journalist in the ATU zone.

The participants of the action are fellow Markiv from the battalion of the National Guard named after Kulchitsky, public activists, veterans of the ATU.

More than 100 participants of the action formed a column on Independence Square and went to the Italian embassy to deliver a letter to the Ambassador.

The main demand of activists is to pay attention to Markiv's case, as well as to facilitate the speedy change of the preventive measure to a softer, unrelated detention.

It is noted that the international action # Markiv started on March 5 in London. After the Ukrainian stage on March 8, the actions will be held in Rome, Paris, Lisbon, March 9 - in Madrid, March 11 - in Athens.

As part of the action, the Ukrainian diaspora sends a letter of appeal to the Italian embassies in their countries, thereby drawing attention to the problem of the illegally detained fighter of the National Guard.
