85% of Britons believe that the school course on the topic of sexual education and relationships is an important subject. In the rating compiled by YouGov on the basis of a survey of adults in the UK, this school discipline took the 5th place and bypassed such subjects as history (it was in 6th place) and geography (on the 7th).
The most important school subjects, according to the British, are English, mathematics and information technology (they are considered important by more than 95% of Britons). It is followed by natural sciences, primarily biology and physics (94% of British voted for them), writes EuroPulse.
Participants in the survey were asked to assess the 18 subjects that are currently taught in high schools in the UK - among them both compulsory subjects and subjects of choice. The most "facultative" subject was Latin - only 14% consider it an important.
