JSC "Teplichnoe" (included in "UMMC-Agro") has started harvesting the first tomato crop in the Innovative Greenhouse Combine, the first phase of which was put into operation at the end of last year. Modern agricultural technologies allowed to obtain ripe fruits in February - one and a half months earlier than usual. Now the enterprise will be able to supply tomatoes to the Ural counters year-round.

"We could get the harvest in the winter in the shortest possible time due to the use of an additional lighting system. On the tomato we use it up to 18 hours a day, "explained Oksana Tyagunova, the chief agronomist of JSC" Teplichnoe ".

Also in the new plant is the most modern greenhouse technology "Ultra Clima", which allows to maintain the microclimate ideal for plants at any time of the year.

In the new block, along with innovative technology, a special hybrid of tomatoes is used - "Kiva". It was bred by Dutch breeders specially for cultivation with the use of additional light. The fruits of the plant are large enough - an average of 200-220 grams, have excellent taste qualities.

In the new conditions, vegetable growers of the greenhouse farm "UMMC-Agro" expect to increase yield twice - up to 92 kg of tomatoes per square meter per year.

Now in the Innovative Greenhouse Combine, one block of 5 hectares is assigned to this culture. At the end of summer, "tomato" areas are planned to double.

Recall that with the release of the Innovative Greenhouse Combine at its designed capacity (the second stage is planned to be launched in the autumn of 2018), the farm will be able to provide 37% of the Sverdlovsk Region with vegetables of closed soil, and fully meet the need for green crops. To date, JSC "Teplichnoe" is the only official producer of tomatoes and cucumbers in the region.
