The occupation authorities accused him of "preparing diversions" on the peninsula. At the same time, Judge Sergei Pogrebnyak took over the term he had appointed for more than 1.5 years, which the Ukrainian spent in custody.
The case of 42-year-old Zakhtei was examined in court in a special order and in closed mode.
Recall that in 2016 the FSB of Russia reported that on the night of August 7 in the annexed Crimea detained a group of "Ukrainian saboteurs" who allegedly were preparing terrorist attacks on the peninsula. The detainees were kept for some time in the Moscow Lefortovo detention center, and then returned to the annexed Crimea.
As reported URA-Inform, July 11 it became known that Zakhtei pleaded guilty and concluded a pre-trial agreement with the investigation. He also refused the services of lawyer Alexei Ladin, who in his turn can no longer provide information about the progress of the case.
