The court of Khanty-Mansiysk put an end to the resonant criminal case on the road accident, which killed 12 people. Three of the four accused will go to the colony.

In the dock were the driver of the wagon Rail Saitkhanov, the bus driver Marat Zainullin, the head of the transport company Alexander Sidoruk and the director of the school of the Olympic reserve "Sibiryak" Irina Tarasova.

The court found that on December 4, 2016, on the 926 km of the Tyumen-Khanty-Mansiysk road Saitkhanov, while driving a freight tractor with a semitrailer, drove to the oncoming lane where he crashed into a passenger bus under the direction of Zainullin. On the bus there were pupils of the children's sports team of the school of the Olympic Reserve "Sibiryak" accompanied by adults.

From the impact the bus was thrown on the oncoming lane, where it collided with one more wagon. As a result of the accident, 10 minor athletes and two adults from the escort team were killed. Another 13 people were seriously injured.

It turned out that the bus was in a very deplorable state - the speedometer did not work, there were not several safety belts, and tires with different tread patterns were installed on the rear axle. At the same time the director of the sports school Tarasova agreed to transport the pupils without the necessary documents.

The indictment in the criminal case was confirmed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District Yuri Ponomarev.

The court found the defendants guilty depending on the role of everyone under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation by the person driving the car of traffic rules, which caused by negligence the infliction of serious harm to human health, the death of two or more persons). "А" ч 2 ст 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers, if committed by a group of persons by prior agreement), and part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence, which caused a significant violation of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens ).

Saitkhanov was sentenced to 6 years 9 months of imprisonment in a correctional colony of the general regime with simultaneous deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 2 years 11 months. Sidoruku was sentenced to 1 year 3 months imprisonment, Zaynullin - 1 year 5 months imprisonment, serving in a correctional colony of general regime.

Tarasova was appointed 11 months of correctional labor with deduction of 15% of earnings to the state income, with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the implementation of organizational, administrative and economic powers in the civil service and service in local government for 2 years.

The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office for the Ural Federal District notes that Yuri Ponomarev plans to file an appeal - the position of the prosecutor's office against Zainullin, Sidoruk and Tarasova differs radically from the position of the court.
