As it became known, the cosmonaut became ill when he was walking in the park Tsarskoe Selo in the capital. On the arrival of the ambulance, Kadenyuk's life failed to save.
Leonid Kadenyuk was born on January 28, 1951 in the village of Klishkovtsi, Khotyn district of the Chernivtsi region in the family of rural teachers. In 1995 he was selected to the group of cosmonauts of the National Space Agency of Ukraine.
Was trained to space flight in NASA on the US space shuttle as a specialist in payload. Between November 19 and December 5, 1997, a space mission was made at the US Columbia STC-87 mission. During the flight he performed biological experiments of the joint Ukrainian-American experience with three kinds of plants: turnips, soybeans and moss. As reported earlier in "URA-Inform", the popular American writer Ursula Kreber Le Guin. It is noted that death came to the writer yet, on January 22, at the age of 88 in his own house in Portland.
