This was stated during the annual board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the chairman of the National Police Sergey Knyazev.
During January-December, 2017, 27 large operations were carried out to detain members of bandit groups who were engaged in the purchase and sale of drugs.
One of the most successful operations of law enforcement officers was the detention of a group of five people who supplied drugs from China and who were distributed through one of the largest online stores. Drugs differed across all countries bordering Ukraine.
During the operation, 15 kg of narcotic substances, various herbs and tablets were seized for a total of 10 million hryvnias. They face 10 or more years of imprisonment.
The cases against two more factions continue.
