To strengthen the protection of the state border and counteract the illegal actions of the offenders, several dozen members of the National Guard arrived at the units of the Chernivtsi Frontier Detachment.

As reported by the State Border Service, from today on the mountain sites of the Ukrainian-Romanian border, along with the border guards, the service will be carried by servicemen of the National Guard.

The report stresses that the National Guard servicemen are involved for the first time in the protection of the state border within the responsibility of the Chernivtsi border guard detachment. This will significantly strengthen and tighten the protection of this direction of the border.

At the same time, the department notes, for border guards and guards, this interaction is not new - servicemen of the two agencies jointly ensured the strengthening of the system of protection of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border on the Transnistrian segment.
