It is reported that the period from which it will be possible to install the counters is extended until January 1, 2018. The document also provides for the mandatory equipment of all buildings that are connected to external heating networks, external hot water supply networks, external water supply networks with house-heating units and water. It is these accounting units that will be used for the commercial accounting of the relevant utilities.

Ukrainians, who already have their own counters, the state will compensate this amount in gas distribution tariffs. In addition, gas supply companies will not be able to stop deliveries of fuel to the house, even if all tenants refused to install the equipment.

However, in 2021, violators of the law are expected to face serious fines, including the disconnection of the communal engineering system.
