Twitter found more than 3.8 thousand accounts managed from Russia and used during the presidential campaign in the US in 2016. This is reported by Deutsche Welle. The number of such accounts increased to 3814. About 176 thousand messages were sent from them.
Twitter by e-mail will notify about 678 thousand users who read these accounts, forwarded messages or marked them "I like". Tweets that were sent from these accounts, as a rule, fueled conflicts between political and ethnic groups in the US. Also, Twitter discovered a new 13,500 automatic accounts that were used to spread the information more widely. All accounts are linked to the "Internet Research Agency", which is known as the "troll factory" - one of the companies that influence public opinion on social networks in the interests of the Russian authorities.
