For the next steps to protect against infectious diseases, the Ministry of Health needs the help of deputies. It is necessary to amend the laws of Ukraine regulating vaccination issues and strengthen the responsibility for refusing vaccination, as it is done in the whole civilized world.
This was on Friday, January 19, during the hour of questions to the government in parliament, said acting Health Minister Ulyana Suprun. She also noted that such a draft of changes in legislation should be submitted by the government.
Suprun also stressed the need to adopt a national immunization program, recalling that now the Ministry of Health does not have the right to approve and receive funding for the corresponding program because of the moratorium.
Recall, as reported by URA-Inform, due to the outbreak of measles in Ukraine, the number of cases from the beginning of 2018 is approaching 1.3 thousand. During 2017, there were registered in Ukraine 4 782 cases of measles and in two weeks of 2018, 1 285 adults and children.
