It is reported that the Ukrainian government in places "bends" measures to counter information attacks from Moscow. So, Poroshenko signed a law obliging activists and journalists who investigate the facts of corruption, publicly declare personal property by analogy with government officials.

In addition, heads of civil organizations that deal with anti-corruption issues also plan to oblige to file electronic declarations.

All these measures very much distract the attention of the media from the main socio-economic problems of Ukraine. SBU last year also carried out a campaign to expel a number of foreign pro-Russian journalists who had previously visited the site "Peacemaker". The very same resource often lends itself to criticism from pro-government circles.

As reported in the "URA-Inform", in Ukraine in 2016 recorded 262 violations of freedom of speech.
