At the same time, 35 people are on their list of witnesses who filed a lawsuit against them. Among them are the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Alexander Yakimenko, the former commander of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Stanislav Shulyak, the ex-Defense Minister Pavel Lebedev, the former commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces and ex-Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuri Ilyin, the ex-head of the SBU in Kiev and Of the Kiev region Alexander Schegolev.

In addition, Yanukovych's lawyers want to interrogate the former head of the Security Service of the President of Ukraine KGO Konstantin Kobzar, ex-security officer of President Sergei Bernatsky, workers of the state enterprise "UkSATSE".

Also on the list of defense witnesses are several persons who are designated as "Crimean residents" and former employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Revenues and Charges of Ukraine in the Crimea.

Another defense requires repeatedly interrogating the former permanent representative of Ukraine in the UN, Yuri Sergeyev Advocate Vitaly Serdyuk is sure that the court has no grounds for refusing to ensure the interrogation of these witnesses.
