According to him, the annexation of the Crimea and the temporary occupation by the pro-Russian mercenaries of the eastern territories of Ukraine are a serious violation of the balance in the region and the supremacy of international law.

Stropnitsky also asked Klimkin about the progress of political and economic reforms in the country, the fight against corruption and the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU. The minister confirmed his readiness to help Kyiv financially if he continues to effectively implement the European reform program.

In turn, Pavel Klimkin expressed his willingness to cooperate with the new Czech Prime Minister Babish and his government in all spheres.

As reported in "URA-Inform", the newly-operating Czech President Milos Zeman won the first round of presidential elections, gaining 38.5 percent of the vote.
