In Swedish houses for the first time in 30 years will receive an updated version of the memo on how to behave in the event of a serious threat. First of all, recommendations are given for natural disasters, a pandemic or a terrorist threat.
Such brochures first appeared during the Second World War and were reprinted several times until the 1980s. Now the memo is republished with modern advice because of the terrorist threat and overall reduction of security in the region, notes EuroPulse.
According to the Opinioner annual poll, in 2017, the Swedes became more concerned about the proliferation of nuclear weapons - 59% consider this an important problem, compared with 36% in 2016. Also, more people are afraid of security on the Internet (59% vs. 40%) and the spread of biological and chemical weapons (46% versus 29%).
However, Sweden remains one of the safest countries for tourists in the world, according to the International SOS and Control Risks.
